Once we have cleaned the roof cavity, which always involves removing the old insulation, we can also re insulate your roof cavity for oyu. We exclusively use batts, our budget priced insulation being Earthwool and our premium priced insulaiton is polyester batts, manufactured by Autex in West Heidelberg.
Insulation effectiveness is determined by the 'R' rating - the higher the rating the more effective the insulation and environmental guidelines are as follows:
Suburban single storey - R3.5 | Suburban double storey - R4.0

Difference between Earthwool and Polyester insulation batts
Earthwool
This is a fibrous product, which means that it sheds fibres as it ages and deteriorates. Soft, quiet and lightweight, Earthwool is our most popular insulation but we do not recommend it for asthma or allergy sufferers.
Polyester
Manufactured from recycled plastics, Polyester is considered to be the healthiest of the batts because it is NOT fibrous and it therefore does not shed fibres as it ages.
